An awareness and fund raising event for fencing and replanting Dun Coillich Community land in Glen Goulandie and to celebrate the tree, will be held at the Lesser Town Hall, Aberfeldy between 12 noon and 5pm.

  • Bring and win prizes with a lucky dip stall
  • Bring and buy plants from the garden
  • See the work of the Scottish Wildlife Trust at the Loch of the Lowes, and the tree planting project at Dalguise
  • Hear about the Jubilee Woods project and other work by the Woodland Trust
  • Try your hand at charcoal drawing on the theme of ‘a walk in the Woods’
  • Hear Woodland Tales with a well known local story teller - might be spooky
  • Watch a willow weaver
  • Buy wines from Cairn O’Mhor, like birch sap and oak leaf
  • Look at and buy books courtesy of the Watermill and bring your second hand books to pass on
  • Sign up as a member or volunteer for fence work, path making, and later, tree planting, doing nature surveys and enjoying Dun Coillich community land
  • Bring your native tree saplings - they may become part of your future wood, adding to the recent work done with the help of the Woodland Trust

If this is all too much, refreshments will be available provided by, and to raise funds for, the Horizon Lunch Club.
Prize contributions can be brought on the day or dropped off at Offizone at the traffic lights in Kenmore Street (a box is in the lobby for these).
Trees/plants can be brought along on the day.  There will be two trailers in the car park for trees and any spare, non rusty fencing material, ryeloch or chicken wire.
