Forestry Commission Scotland advises local residents and visitors that its Queen’s View visitor centre and viewpoint will be closed to the public from Monday 9 January until 31 March.
The closure will allow rebuilding and upgrading work to the footpath to make it accessible for wheelchairs and less able persons.
Hamish Murray, for the Commission’s Tayside team, said: “Perthshire has a reputation as one of Scotland’s finest outdoor recreation locations – and it’s not all down to the amazing forests and spectacular scenery.

Trails’ Network
“We have a great network of trails across the area that welcome people of all ages and levels of ability. The Queen’s View trail will be a great addition to this all-abilities network.
“This is probably the best time of year to carry out the work – before the visitor numbers begin to pick up for the season – and hopefully, once it’s completed, the new trail will encourage more people – including young families – to come and visit and enjoy the experience of a walk to one of Scotland’s great viewpoints.”
