Recycling for residents near Ballinluig has just become more convenient with the introduction of a new Recycling Point on St Cedd’s Road.
Located next to the turning circle for local buses, the new facility has recycling bins for glass bottles and jars, along with three containers for mixed paper, cardboard, plastic bottles and steel & aluminium food and drinks cans.
P&K Environment Convener, C’llr Alan Grant joined the ward C’llr Ian Campbell to launch the new facility. He said: “The majority of residents local to Ballinluig already receive dry mixed recyclate and food and garden waste collections from the kerbside. This new facility will make it even easier for residents to recycle more of their household waste.”
For further information on recycling or composting contact the Council’s Customer Service Centre on 01738 476476, email CLOAKING or visit www.pkc.gov.uk/recycle.
