At the annual Club Assembly held on 2 July at the Kenmore Hotel, the presidency of the Aberfeldy and District Rotary was handed over from Jim Anderson to Richard Langrish.
Once the chain of office had been transferred, the vice presidency role was taken up by Gordon Leighton.
ABrotJulyWebJohn Anderson, Assistant Governor for area 7 of Rotary District 1010, praised the work of Jim and the Club over the last year in its fundraising calendar and in particular its organising of the Highland Perthshire Marathon which is going from strength to strength each year araising thousands of pounds for local charities.
New President Richard Langrish talked of his plans for the coming year including proposals to forge closer links with local businesses, and support for other voluntary groups and individuals in the local community. A particular focus in the year is to be the Club’s support for Senior Citizens.
