At the recent opening of Studios North’s first exhibition well over 100 guests gathered to view works of art on display. There was a wide variety of talent in evidence including jewellery, paintings and sculpture.

 


Linda Cracknell’s new book, ‘Doubling Back – Ten paths trodden in Memory’ is published on 26 May by Freight Books  and extracts from it will be read during that week as BBC Radio Four’s ‘Book of the Week’.

A major award at the 2016 Festival of Silver in London has been won by Grandtully’s famed Master Engraver, Malcolm Appleby.  He was winner of the Silver Society’s prize of ‘Best Silversmith’ for his silver crystal texture Starry Beaker
